As Perks continues to grow and further enhance the capabilities and services we offer to our clients, having the right number and mix of skilled and dedicated leaders overseeing the strategic direction of our firm is critical to our ongoing success.
Since the early days of Perks, the firm’s strategy and operations have been overseen by our Group Board, which is currently comprised of seven elected Directors as well as the CEO, James Black. Our board members are elected by the firm’s Directors, who empower these members to make overarching decisions on their behalf to help run the business with as much proficiency as possible.
Recently, it was once again time for our Directors to come together and vote on the new Board appointments – a process that occurs every two years. As a result, we are pleased to announce that Anita Allan has been appointed as Perks’ newest Board member.
A home-grown leader, Anita joined Perks as an undergraduate in 1999 and swiftly rose through the ranks to be appointed as the firm’s first female, and youngest, Director in 2008.
Anita continues to break ground with her latest appointment as she become the youngest Board member and joins the growing ranks of female Directors on the Board.
Perks Managing Director, Mark Roderick, congratulated Anita on her appointment to the Board, noting her proven leadership skills, which she has developed over the past two decades at the firm.
“Anita has been a strong contributor to the growth of Perks over many years and her elevation to the board is fitting recognition of her skillset and demonstrated leadership qualities,” Mark said.
“As an experienced business advisor and people leader, Anita is respected by her clients and colleagues alike and I am sure all will join me in congratulating her on this appointment.Anita is a skilled and respected leader within the firm, responsible for leading an experienced accounting and business services Team across a variety of industries, including pharmacy, clubs and technology services. Anita works with a growing client base as a strategic business adviser and partners with them to improve and create efficiencies within their internal financial and reporting systems. The results that she continues to deliver for her clients make her sought after by owners and operators that are looking to grow, streamline operations and gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
Anita’s areas of expertise include business advisory, taxation and payroll compliance, systems review, technology driven data collection and improving regular management reporting to provide greater control and business intelligence.
Her acumen in business advisory, business services and accounting are also further complimented by having gained qualifications in Financial Planning. With this unique set of skills, Anita is also able to assist her clients in managing their personal financial positions.
Alongside Anita, the other members of the Perks Board are Simon Hele, Pat Hodby, Vince Tripodi, Neil Oakes, James Black and Mark Roderick, who also serves as Chair of the Board.
