Whether that be through our participation in a charity event; raising awareness, funds and resources for a noble cause, or creating a forum where we can leverage our expertise in service of a greater good, we believe in living out loud our Perks values to make a difference to those around us.

Perks Social Responsibility

Supporting our communities and causes that are close to our heart

At Perks, we have a long history of grassroots community involvement, giving, and fundraising since our humble beginnings in 1981. Our DNA is strongly rooted in supporting a vibrant and sustainable South Australian community through our work, our people and our corporate citizenship.

Over the years our people have shown their support for many wonderful, local charities including:

  • the SA Variety Bash,
  • breakfast shifts and the Walk-a-Mile event for The Hutt Street Centre,
  • the Jodi Lee Foundation Trek,
  • the Youth Opportunities Golf Day,
  • Operation Flinders,
  • and most recently, the KickStart for Kids school breakfast program.

Vision

Our involvement has been driven by our deep desire to help great South Australian charities to “discover success.”

We believe that discovering success goes both ways, outwards to supporting the amazing work of the charities that we partner with, and inward helping us to develop ourselves and our Team to be compassionate, engaged, and empathy-driven leaders for South Australia.

Our corporate giving initiatives are led by our Perks Social Responsibility Committee, which is represented by a subset of Perks Directors. All Team Members have the opportunity to put forward causes that are close to their heart, with consideration based on their ability to meet the four categories below.

Our support efforts fall into four categories:

Financial – this is where we fundraise and donate much-needed financial support to bolster the sustainability of our selected SA partner charities.

Service – this is where we volunteer our time to help SA charities deliver on their mission; taking our Team Members off the tools and into the field to provide hands-on-deck

Expertise – this is where we donate our expertise as business advisers through in-kind services, mentoring, and education to the SA charities we partner with

Awareness – this is where we amplify the message and awareness of the charity and promote philanthropy to our audiences, encouraging participation and engagement amongst the wider community

Sam Wagner

Sam has assisted many pharmacy and medical clients in the key areas of tax compliance, business valuations and restructures, business transactions and transitioning their financial affairs to the cloud.

Perquisite

Invitation only women’s group

Perquisite is an invitation-only women’s business group where members share experiences, participate in professional and personal development activities and learn from specialist presenters. Perquisite was created by Perks to offer a more intimate approach to networking. We wanted to create an exclusive group that would deliver much more than traditional networking forums.
