With more than 20 years’ experience in professional accounting, Sam is highly adept at delivering client-first accounting, tax and business services to a wide range of clients. Sam has specific expertise in servicing the professional services, medical and agricultural sectors, though his client base extends across a breadth of industries and business structures.

As an Associate Director, Sam is responsible for providing advice and financial reporting to business owners and private company boards including tax and accounting advice, financial reporting, cashflow management and business structuring.

Prior to joining Perks in 2015, Sam worked at one of the Big Four accounting firms as a Manager in their Adelaide Private Client Services Team, where he was responsible for delivering effective accounting and tax compliance services and advice to a broad base of companies, trusts, partnerships and individual entities.

Sam also worked in Commerce as a Financial Controller at two established Adelaide engineering firms, where he led their respective finance teams and was responsible for the effective development and delivery of all aspects of company financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and capital management strategies, reporting directly to senior management and business owners.

Through his wide scope of experiences with different industries and in the financial world, Sam has developed key skills in managing and developing client relationships and manging internal teams to deliver positive outcomes aligned to broader business strategies. A key focus for Sam is helping his clients better manage their financial reporting and taxation requirements, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes through streamlining internal systems and processes to ensure they are working effectively and are aligned to their specific business KPIs.

  • Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
  • Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment
