Perks announces four Leadership Promotions

Therefore, we are pleased to announce the appointments of four outstanding Team Members to Associate Director roles across Tax Consulting, Accounting & Business Services and Perks People Solutions.

Roy Abbas has been promoted to Associate Director in Tax Consulting. This promotion recognises his deep technical expertise, commercial approach, and the trusted relationships he has built with clients while supporting organisations in navigating complex taxation matters.

In the Accounting & Business Services Team, George Papanicolaou has been appointed as Associate Director, reflecting his experience, leadership and the practical advice he brings to clients as they navigate growth, tax complexity and key business decisions.

Within Perks People Solutions, Megan Kivell and Collette Ordish have each been promoted to Associate Director in Recruitment and HR Consulting. Megan has played a key role in delivering strategic recruitment and talent advisory services, helping organisations attract, retain and develop high-performing people. Collette, who brings more than 20 years’ experience in human resources and organisational development, advises organisations on leadership capability, workforce strategy and organisational development, helping leaders build high-performing teams and workplace cultures.

The appointments recognise the expertise and client commitment of our Team Members while reflecting Perks’ continued investment in leadership capability across the Group.

Perks CEO James Black congratulated the newly appointed Associate Directors on their well-deserved promotions.

About Roy Abbas –  Associate Director, Tax Consulting

Roy has built his career within taxation-focused roles and works with medium to large organisations on technically complex corporate taxation matters. He brings specialist expertise across areas including tax effect accounting, tax consolidations, tax due diligence and Fringe Benefits Tax, helping clients navigate increasingly technical taxation obligations with confidence.

A Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant, Roy is recognised for his ability to translate taxation legislation into practical, commercially focused advice that supports better business outcomes.

His appointment further strengthens Perks’ specialist taxation capability and supports clients facing increasingly sophisticated compliance and advisory requirements.

About George Papanicolaou –  Associate Director, Accounting & Business Services

With more than 16 years’ experience, George advises businesses across a broad range of industries, with particular expertise in the Property & Construction sector. He works closely with business owners to support growth, navigate increasing tax complexity and make informed business decisions.

His expertise spans taxation, accounting and South Australian state taxes, with extensive experience advising on restructures, property transactions, tax-effective structuring and asset protection strategies.

George’s appointment adds further depth to Perks’ ability to support privately owned businesses with practical, commercially focused advice.

Within Perks People Solutions, the appointments of Megan Kivell and Collette Ordish reflect the continued growth and maturity of the firm’s people advisory offering.

About Megan Kivell –  Associate Director, Recruitment Services

Since joining Perks People Solutions in 2022, Megan has developed a strong reputation for helping organisations identify and secure exceptional talent. Drawing on her background in accounting, finance and specialist recruitment, she partners with organisations across a diverse range of industries to recruit professionals, executives and senior leaders.

Megan’s expertise and commitment to client outcomes have also been recognised externally, with Sourcr naming her Best Recruiter for Accounting & Finance in South Australia in 2024 and Best Recruiter for Human Resources in South Australia in 2025.

About Collette Ordish –  Associate Director, HR Consulting

With more than 20 years of experience in human resources and organisational development, Collette works with organisations to strengthen leadership capability, build engaged workforces and create workplace cultures that support long-term success.

Drawing on extensive senior HR leadership experience, she advises organisations on workforce strategy, organisational development and employee engagement, helping leaders build resilient, high-performing workplaces.

Perks is proud to announce the promotion of six outstanding Team Members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep expertise, and a strong commitment to delivering value for our clients.

Nick Bromell has been appointed to a Director of Perks’ Audit Team reflecting the more than 14 years’ professional experience and insight he brings to the position.

In the Banking & Finance Team, Steve Martin steps into a newly created Client Service Director role, supporting the growing strategic importance of this area.

In Perks Private Wealth, Rebecca Jayne has been promoted to Associate Director. Since joining the firm, Rebecca has played a pivotal role in delivering tailored wealth management strategies and supporting clients to achieve their financial goals.

Within the Accounting & Business Services Team, Andrew Camens, Tracy Bonney, and Tyson Smith have each been promoted to Associate Director. Their promotions recognise their technical excellence, leadership capability and the trusted relationships they’ve built with clients across a broad range of industries.

About Nick Bromell

Nick began his career at Perks in 2009 as an accountant in the Business Services division. He is a client-focused accounting professional with deep expertise in external audit, statutory account preparation, grant acquittals and trust account management.

Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with upper mid-market firms, corporate enterprises, and associations across both public and private sectors, supporting organisations with annual revenues of up to $250 million.

About Steve Martin

With over 20 years of experience in banking and finance, including senior roles at big 4 banks, Steve offers valuable insights from both sides of the lending process, ensuring clients receive strategic and practical financial guidance. His approach centres on building enduring relationships by delivering genuine value, helping businesses not only secure finance but also structure it strategically to support long-term growth and success. 

About Andrew Camens

Andrew began his Accounting career as a Graduate Accountantin PerksBusiness Services Teamin 2016, and steadily climbed the ranks. He quickly gained a strong aptitude for implementing accounting software systems and leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency. Andrew’s unique blend of practical business insight and technical expertise allows him to deliver tailored solutions that drive real value for his clients.  

About Tracy Bonney

Tracy began her career as a Graduate Accountant at Perks in 2008 and now brings over 13 years of experience delivering expert financial and accounting services. She plays a key role in the firm’s pharmacy specialisation and supports clients across hospitality, trades, and investment. Her collaborative approach helps business owners uncover growth opportunities through a deep understanding of their operations and goals. She also contributes to the broader community by holding board positions as Treasurer.

With over 14 years’ experience in mid-tier accounting firms, Tyson provides integrated business and personal financial advice across sectors including retail, agribusiness, and health. He specialises in taxation, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting, aligning financial strategies with key business KPIs. Tyson also leads digital transformations through cloud-based accounting tools, helping clients streamline reporting, optimise cash flow, and make confident, data-driven decisions. 

About Rebecca Jayne

Since joining Perks in 2014, Rebecca has drawn on her experience to help clients achieve their financial goals with clarity and confidence. With 20 years of experience, Rebecca specialises in guiding clients through strategic financial planning and investment decisions and simplifies complex financial strategies into clear, actionable advice tailored to each client’s unique needs.

As an Aged Care Specialist accredited by the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA), Rebecca also provides expert guidance through the complexities of social security and aged care, offering compassionate support during what can be a challenging transition.
