James leads Perks with a sharp commercial lens and a strong people-first belief that great people drive great results, for both our clients, the business community and economy in South Australia and nationally.

As Perks Chief Executive Officer, James works closely with Leadership Teams and Perks Group Board to turn ambition into action, bringing clarity to decisions and keeping the firm focused on what matters.

Leadership & Contribution

As a CEO of Perks, James is responsible for the overall performance, direction and culture of Perks. He brings deep experience from Finance, Agribusiness, Technology and global markets, enabling him to bridge strategy with execution – particularly through periods of disruption and growth.

Within Perks, James is passionate about building strong leadership capabilities across the firm. He actively supports emerging leaders and Team Members, encourages curiosity and champions a culture where accountability and collaboration go hand in hand.

James is an expert in enterprise-level strategy and performance. He leads conversations at the intersection of growth, technology and governance, helping Perks modernise, scale and remain commercially resilient without losing sight of people, culture and long-term value.

Beyond the numbers

Outside Perks, James is actively involved in organisations focused on economic development and community outcomes. He brings his commercial and governance experience to board roles that support sustainable growth, innovation and regional development.

James has served as a Board member & Treasurer of Glenelg Community Hospital, Board member of Regional Development Australia Yorke and Mid North and is currently a Board & Advisory Committee member of Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA).
