Anita Allan was the first female to hold the position of Director at Perks – a significant milestone for both her and the firm. Anita joined the firm as an undergraduate accountant in 1999 and within nine years was appointed to her current role of Director.
Today, she divides her time between managing her growing client base, largely within the pharmacy industry, and focusing on her leadership of Perks’ fast growing cloud accounting solutions team.
As the lead director in our cloud accounting specialist team, her role has centred on improving and creating efficiencies in clients’ internal financial and reporting systems. Capabilities in this area extend to systems review, technology driven data collection and management and development of bridging software programs to ensure a completely integrated function. Further capabilities include managing our outsourcing program and integrating this aspect into our clients’ accounting needs.
As these developments continue to shape and change the current financial reporting landscape, Anita’s skills are widely sought after by business owners looking to gain an edge over their competitors.
Outside her expertise in the emerging Cloud and outsourcing market, Anita is an expert in tax compliance, GST and PAYG advice, financial statement and tax return compliance, budgeting, cash flows and other financial forecasting.
Anita loves helping to resolve a wide variety of issues her clients face every day, and finding the best financial solutions to improve both their business and personal situations.
Anita’s skills are widely sought after by business owners looking to gain an edge over their competitors.

Anita as an individual
Outside of work: Family time is really important to me and is mostly spent outdoors, being active and doing new and exciting things with my two boys. We go on lots of adventures together. I really enjoy being active and keeping fit, especially running and playing tennis. I compete regularly in my local tennis districts competition but on occasion will willingly replace my tennis racquet for a good book. I also enjoy catching up with my friends – especially if there is wine involved and if I don’t have to cook!
If you were stranded on a desert island what 2 items would you take: A boat and a map so that I could get home!
