Peter Telford
Director - Chartered Accounting, Perks Corporate Finance
“Clients’ lives are their business - every part of their personal and business lives are inextricably intertwined. Understanding this helps you to be a true advisor”.
Peter Telford is a Director of Perks Chartered Accounting Pillar and leads the firm’s Corporate Finance Area including the Commercial Property Advisory team.
His detailed understanding of taxation, asset protection and business strategies, together with expertise with wealth creation through investments and property syndication is reflected in his 25 years experience as an accountant and financial planner.
This extensive experience is similarly diverse, with time spent in London at a record label, a Big 3 firm and two years with a mid-tier accounting practice before joining Perks in 1989 as a senior accountant.
As part of his current role heading up Perks Corporate Finance, Peter works closely with clients as an advisor and sounding board to successfully acquire, syndicate, develop and manage commercial property.
Peter’s hands-on approach is demonstrated by the fact that many clients have requested that he sit on boards on their behalf. This insistence on proactively managing potential problems and areas for improvement enables his clients to realise their maximum business potential.
His drive and hands-on style is also recognised within his community. Committed to achieving, helping and building his community in a meaningfully positive way, Peter is involved as a member of his school board, the local arts and as a member of the Property Councils of Australia Asset Management Committee.
Having travelled and worked in many parts of the world, Peter embraces the challenges of travelling and all of its valuable lessons which he now shares that passion with his young family.
